Arby's Bucket List

Thanks to the 2007 movie The Bucket List, people the world over have been spending a lot of time wondering about those things that they hope to see, to accomplish, to own, or achieve before they die. These items are written on a list called a “bucket list.” I had not heard of a bucket list until a few months ago when I saw the term on another blog. Since then I have seen the term popping up all over. This afternoon, for absolutely no good reason, I decided to write Arby’s Bucket List.

#10 I’ve always thought wooden buckets were cool. I have no idea how practical they are, but owning one would be fun, so item #10 on my list is a wooden bucket

like the one you can get at Connie’s Crafts for $45.

#9 Re-living some of my childhood and sharing that with my children is always nice. I’d love to own a genuine reproduction set of Bozo’s Buckets

complete with a Schwinn bike in bucket number six, a slew of silver dollars, and two tickets to Tommy Bartlett’s Water Show in Baraboo, Wisconsin! (I found these for $24.95)

#8 You never know when you’ll need an armadillo, and it’s frustrating when you don’t have one on hand. I’d like to own a Bucket O’ Armadillo. Just in case.

#7 Ever get a hankerin’ for a big pinch o’ chew, but you just don’t know what you’ll do with all the brown spit you’re sure to accumulate? Me, too. You can solve that dilemma with a spittoon.

This US Calvary spittoon is only $49.95 at http://www.bmsbiz.net/.

#6 I’ve always wanted a good mop bucket.

This beauty is only $50 at Cherokee Cleaning & Paper Supply.

#5 Just for kicks, I’d love to dig a hole with an excavator bucket. Might as well line the hole, fill it with water, and make a swimming pool while I’m at it. Why not?

#4 A bucket o’ suds. This needs no further explanation.

#3 This beauty does double duty as a Fireman’s Bucket, which is pretty cool, or a portable grill.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what I’ll do if I have to put out a fire in the fireman’s bucket. This makes me wonder, who answers the call when the fire station is on fire?

#2 A simple, clean, shiny steel bucket.

You never know when you’ll need to milk a cow.

The number one item on my bucket list is

A bucket head! And I already have one of these. It feels good to have one item checked off the list.

"I do not think it means what you think it means...." :-)

FWIW....I liked your bucket list better than any that I've seen before!

This is a good bucket list :)

My bucket list would include this song:

The Old Oaken Bucket
http://www.contemplator.com/america/bucket.html

How dear to my heart are the scenes of my childhood
When fond recollection presents them to view
The orchard, the meadow, the deep tangled wildwood,
And ev'ry loved spot which my infancy knew
The wide spreading pond, and the mill that stood by it,
The bridge and the rock where the cataract fell;
The cot of my father, the dairy house nigh it,
And e'en the rude bucket that hung in the well.
The old oaken bucket, the iron bound bucket,
The moss covered bucket that hung in the well.

The moss covered bucket I hailed as a treasure,
For often at noon, when returned from the field,
I found it the source of an exquisite pleasure,
The purest and sweetest that nature can yield.
How ardent I seized it, with hands that were glowing,
And quick to the white pebbled bottom it fell
Then soon, with the emblem of turth overflowing,
And dripping with coolness, it rose from the well.
The old oaken bucket, the iron bound bucket,
The moss covered bucket that hung in the well.

My dad used to sing The Old Oaken Bucket when I was a kid. He only knew one line, "The old oaken bucket, the iron bound bucket." Today is the first day that I've heard the entire song!

Can I borrow number 5 when you get it? Our ducks could use a pond.

Great list.

I love it! And I absolutely detest Jack Nicholson. Just in case anyone cares.
