One of us is going to have to tell Captain Chaos that when she adamantly denies that she has done anything wrong while simultaneously covering her fanny with her hands it is a fairly good indication that she isn’t telling the truth. One of us will tell her…when she’s 21. Until then we’ll take any advantage that we can get.
My weekend was taken up with adding additional framing to our basement bathroom, running new plumbing, a new electrical line, hanging sheet rock, and dropping a rather heavy chunk of steel through the lid of the porcelain toilet tank cover. That was productive. New toilet tanks are not expensive, but I’d rather not give up the power of a five gallon flush that comes from a 49 year old tank. The search for a new old lid is underway.
You’d think that after three days without posting a blog that I’d have something to say this morning.
You’d think.

A couple of random comments:
Lack of coffee after two nights of limited sleep may lead to near-death on one's lengthy commute to work. Someone is making me coffee tomorrow morning come hell or high water.
It's really quite amazing how many excuses for not having done one's homework can come out of a student's mouth. To help those who are not so glib, I listed twenty on my wall. Ooh, that's a good idea for a blog post.

Gee, I've thought of a thousand things to say on mine-but haven't had a minute to do it. I was looking forward to some Tim the Toolman post-although I realize that you're much more capable of doing things around the house than that.

I got nothin' either. 'Course I'm not remodeling a basement. You'd think that someone who is remodeling a basement really WOULD have something.
Yes, I agree, someone remodeling a bathroom should have something to say. Having extra bathrooms does help though. When I was single I had a house with one bathroom. The toilet developed a crack in the base (I really don't know how or why - it was old, I was tiny at the time... ) anyway, I couldn't get a plumber out for a couple of days.
It is good to have a back up.
Someone remodeling a basement probably does have something to say, it is just too profane to put on the internet. Bless you for getting rid of those walls - they remind me of my childhood in an unpleasant way.
