She Nose What She Likes To Eat

Long time readers of this blog and its predecessor know that one of our bigger parenting challenges has been keeping Captain Chaos’ food out of her hair.  Or maybe it has been keeping the Captain’s hair out of her food.    She has experimented with most common household condiments as hair conditioner.  Two days ago I found a solution to this problem.
That, my friends, is a six year old girl in a doo rag, compliments of her older brother.  As you can see, she loves it.   I am happy to report that after eating a hot dog, carrots, and chips-n-dip, her hair was perfectly food-free.
Now if we can only keep her nose clean…

Oh no, you mean it doesn't get better as they age? At least my girls don't start out with a whole lot of hair, so that is something. If the Captain gets a wifebeater shirt and a tattoo I think you need to put your foot down.

She looks adorable. Dogs clean off faces really well. She needs a princess one now!

A princess doo-rag, I like it. Maybe we can get the scullery maid look from the beginning of Cinderella.

LOLOL. Food in hair was a major issue with Miss Dog Lover. I used to wash her hair after every meal right in the kitchen sink. Your solution seems more elegant. :)
